Text Box: General Gymnastics Competition. 5th Nov 2006 Well done to all the gymnast who took part in this event. I have sent a report into the Citizen newspaper so keep your eyes peeled. Well done to all the coaches, parents and supporters who gave of their free time on Sunday. As a club we came away with an impressive 4 Gold medals and 1 silver. Text Box: Club Leotards & T-Shirts As you all know we expect all gymnasts who compete for MK Springers to wear our club leotard. We try to keep them as cheap as possible, prices range from £18 depending on size. We are aware that some of you have grown and need to buy a larger size. If your old club leotard is still in good condition why not sell it second hand? We have MK Springers T-shirts for sale @ £10.00, please ask for an order form, we will need to order these a few at a time to keep the cost of P&P down. New Competition Leotard!! One available to view . Please be advised this leotard is for competition wear only not training. A must for Acro gymnasts. Nice idea for a Christmas gift? Text Box: Club Development Our club as you may have noticed is growing rapidly. We are still concentrating on General Gymnastics, Acro and Tumbling. The coaches are continually assessing the gymnasts, as a result of a meeting held last week, we will be offering some gymnasts the opportunity to increase their training hours. New Group/New Coach: On Wednesday at Hazeley we have now started a tumbling group. We would like to welcome aboard our new coach Sally Filmer. Sally has been a friend for a number of years. She coached Ruth and the other members of the Irish tumbling team, taking them to the European finals in Sofia in 2004, and she is presently coaching Samantha Palmer who will be competing in The World Cup Tumbling final on 25th November in Birmingham, we would like to wish Sally and Sam the very best of luck. Sally is being assisted by Ruth, on Wednesday, their hope is to enter a group of tumblers into a team tumble competition next year. Oak Grove Leisure Centre Another venue for Springers in MK. Under the watchful eye of Sarah we run sessions on Tuesday 5.30-6.30 & 6.10-7.10. Due to popular demand in January we will be offering Monday 4.30-5.30 & 5.30-6.30. Fees: The directors of the club have decided to implement a new and easier fee structure. Each half term you as parents/guardians will pay the same amount no matter how many week are in the school term. The amount will depend on how many hours your child trains. Fees are still payable in advance but this way you can budget, we are still the best value for money club in the area! Text Box: Christmas Disco/Party Some parents and coaches thought a club Christmas disco/party would be a nice idea. What we need is a group of willing parents to take this on! Things you need to think about are venue, cost, disco hire etc. All volunteers please contact Jean or Felicity. Text Box: Roots As mentioned in our last newsletter, we are still looking for a permanent venue, so keep us posted if you find anywhere suitable.
