Text Box: MK Springers Text Box: Summer is just around the corner, six months have passed since our last publication apologies! I had hoped to make it more frequent but time was not on my side. Many changes have happened, all for the better. Read on and find out more. Text Box: Competition 21stMay 2006 21 gymnasts from Hazeley, Radcliffe and Roade took part in this floor & vault competition. The girls did very well, for many it was their first competition. The club came away with one gold and three silver medals. Many missed out on medals by 0.1or 0.2. Well done to all who took part but don't slack off because October & November are just around the corner!! Text Box: Gym Mark We have done it, YUPEE! This is a quality mark from British Gymnastics: it recognises gym clubs who offer quality coaching and high standards in all levels of running a club. We received our plaque last half term and are very proud. We can’t slack off as the assessment will be on- going. Text Box: Club Leotards & T-Shirts As you all know we expect all gymnasts who compete for MK Springers to wear our club leotard. Unfortunately our suppliers are no longer able to embroider our name onto the leotards we are searching for a new source, but to date have not found one. We try to keep them as cheap as possible, prices range from £18 depending on size. We are aware that some of you have grown and need to buy a larger size. If your old leotard is still in good condition why not sell it second hand? We have MK Springers T-shirts for sale @ £10.00, please ask for an order form, we will need to order these a few at a time to keep the cost of P&P down. Text Box: Roots & Web Site As mentioned in our last newsletter, we are still looking for a permanent venue, so keep us posted if you find anywhere suitable. We would also like a club web site, something not too complicated, but where we can show who we are what we do and booking can be made on line!! Can anyone help with this and will it cost many pennies?.

Text Box: New Venues After Easter due to growing numbers we moved all our Shenley gymnasts and many others to Hazeley School, this has proved very successful; it’s a bright and clean gym with very helpful caretakers. We can now offer a new discipline called Sports Acro, in which we have gymnasts training 4hrs a week. Others are in development training 2hrs a week in General Gymnastics. At the beginning of May we have opened a new club at Oak Grove Leisure Centre, successfully led by Sarah, with a waiting list already!!!. Text Box: Competitions Dates ’06 for your dairy! Tumbling 15th October , Floor & Vault, 5th November all @ Kingston Centre, Milton Keynes. Gymnasts must be 7yrs old and BG registered to enter. We will let you know at a later date who has been selected for the above. Text Box: Club Development Ruth, Jenny & Chris successfully passed their level 1 exam, well done girls and thank you to the gymnasts who helped out for the evening. Katrina & Michaela will be sitting their level 2 exam soon, good luck to you both. They will also need gymnasts so you may be hearing from them. Text Box: Finally For those of you who did not know Carolyn is expecting a baby in September, Good luck girl!!
