Mk Springers

“Gymnastics from tots to teens for the whole community of Milton Keynes”

Text Box: Two more successful events
Well done to all our gymnasts who took part recently in the Buck County General Gymnastic competition on 30th March 2008. There was a total of fifteen medals won on the day. On April 20th our Acro and Tumbling gymnast competed in the Bucks Open, all gymnasts came away with a medal for either floor or tumble, some with both!
Jean and Felicity would like to say a big thank you to all the coaches for giving up their free time voluntarily on the day, both with coaching and judging. Pictures from both events will be published on our web site soon. Also if you want copies of any pics please see Felicity.

Text Box: New Venue
Many of you are aware that we have been trying to secure a permanent venue in MK. We have achieved “change of use” on a building in Kiln Farm. We are now in discussions with the landlords in the hope of securing a more favourable rent. If we do secure this venue we will need you all to rally round and help, so if we have any plumbers, carpenters, electricians and general odd jobs men and women please make yourself known to one of our coaches. We will keep you posted.
Text Box: Competition Dates
Bucks Youth Games  7th June
Schools Competition  28th June.
Club Competition 19th July
Text Box: Bucks Youth Games
MK Springers & S.N.U.G.S (Special Needs United Gymnastics) are managing and training the gymnastic teams for both North and South MK. The games this year will be held in MK, so keep the 7th of June free in your diaries and come along and support our gymnasts.
Text Box: Think Green!
Finally I have been asked by our young adults, if our club can become more environmentally minded. Their first suggestion is;
Car Sharing; If you live near another club member can you lift share the journeys to and from training, thus saving fuel and reducing the clubs carbon footprint? Any other helpful tips let me know and I am happy to publish them.
Text Box: New Judges
Our young coaches had a judging training day & exam recently. All passed with flying colours. Well done to Jenny, Laura, Ben, Jamie, Amy and Emily. The successful boys & girls will be judging at our own schools, club and Bucks Youth Games competitions. We are trying to find an Acro judging course for some of our Acro squad parents to attend. Thank you Angela T for being the first volunteer!!!
Text Box: Club Uniform/Tracksuit
After much deliberation we have come up with a club uniform/tracksuit. You can now order a blue fleece and black track bottoms. In order for the club to look smart we ask that you order both items from us. Order forms are available from your coach.
