On Sunday 12th July 2009 over 120 children from 16 different primary schools took part in the Milton Keynes Schools gymnastics competition. 2009 is the fourth year that this competition has been organised by MK Springers. The vast majority of childen competing were those who train once a week in their respective after school clubs. The day commenced at 10.00am with a march-on by the littlest gymnasts ( age 4-5). As the day progressed the children became older, until finally at 3.00pm the oldest children ( age 10-11) competed. It was the first time for most of those competing ( and their parents) to step into a prestige gymnastics building and the parents were ecstatic in their praise for the venue. below you will find some of the key moments of the day. During the intervals the audience were left spellbound by the astonising routines given by our senior Acro and General gymnastics. To quote one parent “Just to let you know we really enjoyed the gym competition today. Such a great atmosphere! Trin was over the moon with her medal. thanks so much! “ (Jaz Ampaw-Farr) . Included below are some of the pictures from the day.
