Medals all round at County Competition.

level-10-webThe bucks county general gymnastic competition was once again awash with a sea of blue leotards, as 35 MK Springers gymnasts waremily-lucymed up to compete.

The competition is split into different levels depending on the ability of the gymnast.
The level 8 gymnasts started the day. Katie Strehl, the youngest competitor in this level preformed her straddle over vault for the first time and missed out on a bronze medal by 0.5. In the older age groups, Abigail Parker came away with a silver medal, her team mate Georgia Makel was only a point away from a podium position. Ten year olds twins Hannah & Jasmin Loveland came away with silver and bronze respectively.

Team mate Laureece Lambert overcame her nerves and preformed a lovely floor routine. Taylor McDonald in the eleven year old group was also just outside the medals.Level 7 saw the more experienced MK Springers gymnasts compete. Chloe Walpole received a gold medal and Katie Smith joined her on the podium to receive her silver medal. Lucy Exley was unlucky to be just 0.5 away from a medal. In the boys at this level, Cameron Lambert walked away with gold while team mate Lewis Murphy stood along side him to receive sliver.

The afternoon began with Level 9. MK Springers had eleven gymnasts competing. Georgia Sears the youngest competitor walk away with a gold medal. Scott Pollock came away with silver, Amy Smith won sliver also in her age group as did Jessica Singh. Luke Harrison and Thomas Woolf showed more boy power by gaining silver and bronze respectively. Megan Peddle was against a very strong field and just missed out on a medal. In the age eleven section it was a clean sweep for Springers with gold for Sophie Pardoe, silver for Isabelle Graves and bronze for Elise Pollock. Mata Patel carried on the medal theme by achieving gold.
The afternoon was finished off by the level 10 gymnasts. Lauren Hendey who is only six years old, walked away with silver. In the age 7yr olds MK Springers once again took all the podium places Hannah Savill, gold, Phoeby Briggs, silver and Mia Barlow bronze. Team mates Isobel Wilson, Holly Eaton, and Freya Woodward just missed out on the medals. Erin Somes in the age 8 groups was 0.1 away from a medal. The 10 year old group saw Kia Robinson and Katy Tann receiving joint silver with Amy Mead and Sidra Woodward again only just outside the medals.
